Terms of Service
Last updated: March 16, 2026
Agreement to terms
By accessing or using MailTask.ai ("the Service"), operated by Gradientwise ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of the Service
MailTask.ai scans your Gmail inbox using AI to extract actionable items. Email processing happens entirely in your browser. Our server handles authentication, credit management, and AI provider key provisioning, but never sees your email content.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Account and access
You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google credentials and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe your account has been compromised or is being misused.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Share your account or API keys with third parties
- Circumvent usage limits or billing controls
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
Subscriptions and billing
The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the plan rate.
Credits do not roll over between billing cycles. Each renewal resets your usage budget. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your profile page, and access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at [email protected] if you believe a charge was made in error.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Gradientwise. Your data remains yours. We claim no ownership over your email content or extracted actions.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers including Google (Gmail API), OpenRouter (AI processing), and Paddle (billing). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-extracted actions will be complete or accurate. You should verify any actions before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gradientwise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
